Fun fact: In China, community acupuncture is how most people get acupuncture.

Seated comfortably alongside other members of your community, you will receive a personalized, distal acupuncture treatment. This means we only needle from the knees down, from the elbows down, in the ears, face, and head.

There are more nerves in you arms and legs, particularly below the elbows and knees. Where there is higher nerve density, there is more brain stimulation, which leads to more pain relief. Needling these areas also releases more endorphins and pain-modulating substances.

Besides that, needling from the elbows down and knees down makes NE Wellness more accessible and affordable to all. We're able to see more people at once because all you need to do is roll up your pants and sleeves.

From there, you can relax for anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, allowing your body to use its naturally occurring healing abilities to help you get well and stay that way.

I struggle with community acupuncture because Iʼm a highly sensitive person. I have anxiety and the idea of doing healing work in a group setting makes me a little nervous. From the check-in process until the minute I left the space, I felt safe, seen and heard. I canʼt wait to go back. I think I might make it a weekly thing. Thank you for being.
