Melt: A yin yoga practice followed by a meditative Cha Dao tea ceremony!
Come honor spring + the full moon! Soften your heart and soothe your body with gentle movement and tea ritual.
Cha Dao, "The Way of Tea" is a practice that comes from Buddhist and TCM lineage and is over 10,000 years old. It has been used by the Daoists and Sages as a form of medicine and a way to cultivate awakened presence, sustaining long states of meditation.
Yin and tea offer similar nourishment for these wild times in that they are both “steeped” in the beauty of slowing down and turning inward. This is a neat opportunity to connect with the elements during a time of year when many of us are starting to break out from the indoors and enter into the outside world once again. The tea itself is very special, called “living” tea.
Add self care and connection to your weekend! No previous yoga or tea ceremony experience necessary.
Yoga will be instructed by Charmagne: a mental health therapist, yoga teacher, and community herbalist. She recently attended a course on Tea at Esalen from Zen Master WuDe.
Her dear friend Christin has studied under WuDe and will be collaborating for this special class.
Christin has worked as a critical care and hospice nurse. She is currently a practitioner and advocate of integrative healing in the medical field and work with end-of-life populations as she pursues her doctorate in nursing. Christin has been serving tea since studying traditional medicine around the globe and applying these practices to Western medicine.
