Zachary Binsfield, CMT
Zachary is an organic farmer, bodyworker, popular educator, and writer. These forms of work find balance and integration, just as massage therapy addresses tension by connecting all dimensions of our experience - from the mind, to the body, to the heart. With bodywork and breathing, he provides a therapy that meets every client where they are at, as they are, creating space for relief and integrative healing based on their unique needs. Specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage, his goal is to make care possible for all bodies and all identities, especially those from backgrounds with less access to resources.
After two years of private study and bodywork practice in his extended community of educators and activists, including 6 months working alongside a chiropractor, he completed his Massage Therapy Certification in the spring of 2018 under the direction of Jaina Portwood (Founder of Pure Lux Yoga and Cofounder of Radiant Life Yoga, NCMT 1000), formalizing his education and work into a focused healing arts practice.
His approach to body work, just like land and food systems, is justice-driven and informed by biodynamic and integrative principles. Organizationally and personally, Zachary has been studying how our bodies experience and heal from Stress and Trauma, and how our processes are affected by race, class, and gender. Together, our bodies know how to heal, and they can be great teachers. You’re invited to make time and space to reconnect with your own body, and your breath – in essence, your true, free Self.
