relax-regenerate-reimagine: winter solstice 2020 (free!)

winter solstice falls in december on the shortest day and longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere. observed by human beings for millennia, this astronomical time supports going inward, to be resourced and nourished by darkness, stillness, and rest. relax-regenerate-reimagine is a (free!) virtual 30-minute guided meditation and imagery practice led by Betsy Ranum, integrative health coach at NE Wellness. this practice offers space to:

relax. allow your body to settle and unwind. whether you have years of experience with mind-body practices or are trying for the first time, this is a space to be supported in soothing your own nervous system.
regenerate. come back to yourself. through relaxation, meditation, and imagery, you can access your innate healing resources. on a physiological level, this is a cascade of chemicals, hormones, and responses that promote multi-dimensional well-being and can be restorative on many holistic levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
reimagine. connect with your intuition, heart's wisdom, and dreams. get clarity around your needs and unique contributions at this moment in history. deep relaxation and imagery offer ways to access your inner knowing, creativity, and imagination. allow yourself to experience new ways of being in your body, mind, and spirit.

*please find a cozy, settled, and comfortable place for yourself, where you can enjoy as few distractions as possible. you may want to have blankets, pillows, water/tea/etc, and something to write with within reach. you are empowered to listen to your body and make any adjustments to attend to your own needs throughout this practice! if you experience any conditions that can be complicated or contraindicated by deep relaxation and inward focus (e.g. mental health, neurological, blood pressure, or others), you are encouraged to reach out to your health care provider with any questions or concerns about whether this type of practice might be right for you at this moment.*

Betsy Ranum (she/her) is a registered nurse, national board-certified health and wellness coach, and has a MA in integrative health and wellbeing coaching from the University of MN. trained in practices of relaxation, awareness, breathing, guided imagery, hypnosis, biofeedback, and other “mind-body” approaches, Betsy has years of experience collaborating with people new to, and experienced with, such practices and ways of knowing. she offers individual coaching sessions and personalized relax-regenerate-reimagine sessions virtually through NE Wellness.
