Ayurvedic Life Style
Consultation and Treatments

The purpose of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultations is to provide insight and recommendations on lifestyle habits to engage the body's natural healing ability.

WHAT IS AYURVEDA ?

Ayurveda appeared from India's spiritual texts, called the Vedas, the world's oldest extant literature. "Ayur" means life or daily living, and "Veda" means knowing or wisdom. It teaches us how to recognize the power of self-knowledge in harmony with nature's rhythms. Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to a person's whole being and wellness. This healing system has been practiced for over 5,000 years and connects human beings to the natural world, keeping or returning a person to their true balance.

AYURVEDIC CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT

During an Ayurvedic Consultation, you will learn about Ayurvedic principles and how they apply to live in a balanced state of overall health and wellness with a more profound sense of joy and happiness. In our session, we will discuss the daily habits (dinacharya) and rhythms of life in correlation to nature's natural rhythms. After reviewing your health history, lifestyle, routines, goals, and any issues you wish to address, we will determine your Ayurvedic constitution. From an Ayurvedic perspective, we will also look at other factors such as energy level, diet, sleep, personal practices (ex. yoga, meditation, prayer), and other parts of your life. Together, we will develop an Ayurvedic wellness plan, including a daily routine (dinacharya) to balance your life. Along with foods, herbs, and mind-body-spirit practices, this will include tools to help support you on your journey and fit into your lifestyle.

The purpose of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultations is to provide insight and recommendations on lifestyle habits to engage the body's natural healing ability. An initial consultation is 90min and includes a treatment.

FOLLOW UP SESSION AND TREATMENT

The purpose of Lifestyle follow-up is to continue toward optimal health, gain a deeper understanding, and continue to offer recommendations and support. Follow-up sessions are recommended for accountability and treatment adjustments. A follow-up session with treatment can be 90 or 60 min without treatment, 90, 60, or 30 min.

MARMA THERAPY

Marma point therapy is an energy healing practice developed over 5000-year-old within the Ayurvedic Medical healing system. It is based on an energetic matrix similar to other point therapies, such as acupuncture, acupressure, and reflexology. A marma serves as a bridge between our body, mind, and spirit, with vital energy points on the skin's surface. They are located where joints, tendons, bones, muscles, veins, nerves, and other tissues meet.

Ancient Ayurvedic physicians mapped out the specific locations for each marma point and their physical, mental, and emotional effects on our bodies. There are 108 marma points throughout the body - 107 on the physical body and one in the mind. Each point corresponds to a specific vayu (function of prana/movement), dhatu (bodily tissue), and srota (physical channel).

MARMA THERAPY AND CRANIOSACRAL TREATMENT

The treatment includes gentle hands-on techniques that use a light touch on the body and/or light pressure on marma points. A tuning fork is often used to encourage the effect of the treatment. These techniques stimulate the body to produce what it needs to find balance.

Marma Therapy + Craniosacral Therapy may offer the following benefits:
