YOGA Classes with Kamie

Mondays 6:45-8PM and Thursdays 9:30-10:30AM

Combining yoga therapy and acupuncture is a lovely way to start your day and promote relaxation and well-being. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from this unique experience:

  • Guided Meditation: The session begins with a guided meditation by Kamie Slegers. Meditation can help you calm your mind, set intentions for the practice, and prepare you for the yoga session.

  • Gentle Yoga Flow: You will engage in a gentle yoga flow following the meditation. This yoga practice is designed to bring balance and flexibility to your body. You'll use various props (such as yoga blocks, blankets, bolsters, or straps) to support your practice and make it accessible to all levels, including beginners.

  • Restorative Pose: The last part of the class will focus on restorative yoga poses. These poses are profoundly relaxing and often involve props to support your body in a comfortable and restful position. This part of the class aims to promote relaxation and release tension.

  • Mondays Only Yoga Nidra: In addition to the above components, you mentioned "plus yoga nidra." Yoga nidra is a form of guided meditation that leads you into a deep state of relaxation, similar to a yogic sleep. It can be profoundly restorative and is often used for stress reduction, improving sleep, and promoting overall well-being.

  • Thursdays ONLY - Distal Acupuncture: Our licensed acupuncturist will provide distal acupuncture in the final restorative pose. Distal acupuncture involves needling points on your arms, legs, and head. This technique helps balance energy flow in the body and promotes relaxation.

All Levels Welcome: It's worth noting that no prior yoga experience is required for this class. It's designed to accommodate participants of all levels, including beginners. This makes it an inclusive and accessible opportunity for those looking to explore yoga and acupuncture as a way to relax and unwind.

Pre-Registration: To participate in this class, pre-registration is required. This allows the organizers to prepare the necessary props and ensure adequate space.

Welcome to our Saturday Sampler, a delightful day of wellness and self-care designed to uplift your mind, body, and spirit. Join Kamie for various rejuvenating sessions, from meditation to yoga flow, restorative yoga, and Yoga Nidra, all accompanied by brief community acupuncture sessions for extra serenity. Here's an overview of the schedule and what you can expect from this experience:

8:30 AM - 8:50 AM: Guided Meditation

Ease into your morning with a peaceful guided meditation. Find a comfortable seat, close your eyes, and let our meditation guide lead you on a journey of relaxation and inner reflection. The class is limited to 8 students. 

9:00 AM - 9:45 AM: Yoga Flow

Move and breathe in sync during this rejuvenating yoga flow session. Kamie will guide you through an active sequence that enhances flexibility, strength, and balance. The class is limited to 4 students. 

10:00 AM - 10:45 AM: Rest and Restore Yoga

Take a moment to unwind and rejuvenate with gentle, restorative yoga. This session focuses on deep relaxation and releasing tension, allowing you to experience a profound calm and renewal. The class is limited to 6 students. 

11:00 AM - 11:45 AM: Yoga Nidra

Embark on a transformative journey with Yoga Nidra, known as "yogic sleep." Immerse yourself in a guided meditation that induces deep relaxation and heightened awareness. The class is limited to 6 students. 

Each Session Followed by Community Acupuncture:

After each session, enjoy a short community acupuncture session to enhance your sense of peace. Our licensed acupuncturist will provide gentle acupuncture treatments in a shared space, promoting collective healing and relaxation.
Note: Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a smooth transition between sessions and to fill out any needed paperwork. Must PreRegister for all classes.
